Creating vehicle pickups in UDK is not much different than creating one for a pawn. Epic has done a great job of providing templates for you to use. It’s just a matter of making small adjustments and understanding what each of the default properties in the class mean. For the following examples, we’ll be adding ammo and health pickups for a scorpion using a custom weapon.
When we’re finished it should look something like this:

That’s certainly something I could work on in the future. It would’t be much different than doing health though. Simply replace “what” is being filled. Instead of “health”, it replaces “boost.”
