Philly Dev Night hosts holiday toy drive at Microsoft Reactor

Philly Dev Night community put together their annual toy drive for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHoP), and this time it was at the Microsoft Reactor.  We had well over 60 people in attendance, and the Dev Night team asked that anyone who attended bring a gift for a child. For those who didn’t, we had a computer set up at the front desk where they could make a donation to a children’s charity.

I love that this community can come together and work towards something so selfless. This isn’t the first time they’ve done this, either. In the end, they were able to haul away 4 large bags full of new toys for the Children’s Hospital down the block.

Check out the profiles of some of the fine folks behind this program. Mind you, all of these community members could have spent the opening night of Star Wars: Rogue One in the theaters, but instead chose to spend it improving their community.
